Committee Meeting on private higher education law:

Private higher education institutes are operating under permission of Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan. There are twenty thousand students studying in the private sector.  The ministry recently established a separate department to improve the communication and standards of private education and Professor Surosh is introduced as the president of the department at the ministry.

Professor Surohs is serious to help the private sector to improve the quality of higher education and as well as resolve problems. In the first step he established a committee with private sector to modify the law of private higher education institutes and in the committee Abdul Shukor Mahjoor chancellor of higher education institute of Karwan is member.

 
The committee conducted two meetings until now and they have very good progress, it will give more authority to the private sector to make decisions. The private sector is very effective for students to study, private sector updated its curriculums, teaching materials and help students to have access to updated information. Students at the private as enroll have to pay their education fees to such institutes, many of the students prefer to study in the early morning or late evenings.
